The staff at the JCC and Music Together of Charlotte have consulted and created the following in case of emergency.

* In case of emergency, an all-call will come over the intercom system.

*We will lock the front door.

* We will barricade the entrances with tables and chairs, pushing against the barricade with all of our force - police say the obstacle is a deterrence and the intruder will go elsewhere.

*The back door and windows are always locked and should remain so.

*Since there are no blinds or window coverings in the room where we have class, everyone will go into the front room, close the blinds, and stay as far from windows as possible.

*We will turn lights off and stay quiet.

*Another option could be to huddle in the bathrooms in the cabin and lock the doors but it would be very tight, not ideal in a scary situation.
