MUSIC TOGETHER OF CHARLOTTE
COVID POLICIES, PROCEDURES and PRECAUTIONS
These steps will be followed by teachers, parents, caregivers and children.
MUSIC TOGETHER OF CHARLOTTE COVID Protocols: The health and well-being of our unvaccinated children was our most important thought as we created these policies. We count on everyone to look out for each other and put the well-being of our community ahead of their own conveniences. In light of this, we ask:
IF YOU OR ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN IN CLASS HAS A POSITIVE TEST - call or email Sharon or your teacher as soon as possible. You will need to stay isolated at home for ten days from the start of symptoms or date of positive test if no symptoms. Do not return to class until after these ten days, your symptoms are improving and you have no fever for 24 hours.
IF YOU HAVE BEEN VACCINATED AND ARE EXPOSED TO COVID OUTSIDE THE CLASS - if asymptomatic, get tested 3-5 days after exposure and wear a mask in public settings (and class) for 14 days after exposure or until you get that negative test.IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED AND ARE EXPOSED TO COVID OUTSIDE THE CLASS - call and email your teacher to help us figure out if the class has been exposed. Per CDC guidelines, you will need to isolate for 10 days if no symptoms OR for 7 days if no symptoms and a negative test no earlier than 5 days after last contact with the positive person.IF WE DETERMINE THAT OUR CLASS HAS BEEN EXPOSED IN A SIGNIFICANT WAY we will cancel class for the next week. We will make-up the class at the end of the semester. If we have to cancel more than two weeks of classes, we will make up on Zoom.
